A Keyword is a word or term that you type into a search engine to begin an online search. Keywords are also used in HTML to help search engines identify and index a Web sites pages.

Keywords for each web page are listed in the meta tag called keywords and in the content of the web page. These keywords are then used by the search engines to index ( include) your web pages in the results returned when someone searches for those keywords.
